Flamingo Gold MT5: automated gold trading
Flamingo Gold MT5 is an Expert Advisor designed for automated trading on gold quoted in US dollars, commonly shown as XAUUSD. It evaluates price structures and places pending buy-stop and sell-stop orders through five independently selectable strategy modules.
Choose the modules you want to run, configure position sizing and monitor account activity from the on-chart dashboard. Each strategy follows its own internal evaluation schedule.
Five selectable strategies
The modules, labelled AI-1 through AI-5, can be enabled individually. These labels identify the strategies; they do not indicate a trained artificial-intelligence model.
Position sizing and trade protection
- Fixed-lot or percentage-risk position sizing, with a maximum volume limit for percentage-risk modes.
- Broker-side stop loss and take profit.
- FlamingoLock profit protection and configurable virtual trailing.
- Optional trading hours, weekend entry protection and economic-event filters.
- Daily loss and account drawdown controls.
The factory fixed-lot setting is 0.01 lots before broker volume normalization. This default is not a suitable risk level for every account. Review volume, margin requirements and stop distances against your broker’s specifications.
Monitor your gold EA from the chart
The dashboard displays account balance, equity, strategy status, positions, pending orders and daily net results. Its Hide/Show button controls panel visibility without pausing trading.
Hedging and netting accounts
On hedging accounts, the strategy modules can maintain independent positions. On netting accounts, Flamingo Gold permits one pending order or open position per symbol, so the modules operate sequentially. Trading opportunities and results differ between account types.
Use a dedicated symbol for this EA on netting accounts. Manual trades or another EA on the same symbol can affect the shared net position.
Setup and testing
- Review the product documentation and your broker’s gold symbol specifications.
- Backtest with your broker’s historical data in MetaTrader 5.
- Check position size, margin, target-distance units, event settings and broker-server time.
- Test on a demo account before considering live trading.
- Keep MetaTrader 5 connected, or use a suitable VPS, when relying on virtual protection.
Gold quoted in USD is the recommended instrument. Other instruments require separate testing. Economic-calendar availability and news-filter behavior may differ between historical tests and live operation.
