Sea Gold EA is a MetaTrader 5 gold breakout Expert Advisor built around confirmed swing levels. In this product spotlight, we explain its M15 setup, order controls and testing steps so you can assess how it fits your XAUUSD trading workflow.
According to the Sea Gold MT5 product details, the strategy uses neither grid trading nor martingale position sizing. Instead, it places pending breakout orders and offers fixed-lot or percentage-risk sizing. Here is what those features mean in practice.

How Sea Gold EA trades gold breakouts
The EA identifies confirmed swing levels and uses Buy Stop and Sell Stop orders to seek breakouts. A pending order waits for price to reach its trigger level before it becomes a position. This differs from entering immediately at the current market price.
Sea Gold uses M15 price data. Start with an M15 chart and check the exact gold symbol offered by your broker. Depending on the account, this may be GOLD, XAUUSD or a symbol with a suffix. Contract size, tick value and minimum volume can also differ between brokers.
Pending orders may exist in both directions, and both can execute. Therefore, review the exposure of all orders together. A risk setting for one order does not automatically limit the total risk of the account.
No grid and no martingale: what changes?
Sea Gold EA does not build a ladder of recovery trades at fixed price intervals against a losing position. It also does not increase lots simply because the previous trade lost. These are useful distinctions when comparing automated gold strategies.
However, this structure does not remove market risk. Breakouts can fail, spreads can widen and execution can slip. Stop losses help manage trades, but they do not guarantee an exact exit price or a maximum loss under every market condition.

Sea Gold EA setup: 5 checks before testing
- Confirm the platform and symbol. Install the MT5 version and select your broker’s gold instrument on an M15 chart. Our MT5 gold EA installation guide explains the basic setup process.
- Choose a lot-sizing method. The documented LotVar options are 0 for fixed lots, 1 for balance-based risk and 2 for equity-based risk. With percentage-risk sizing, volume changes with account value and stop-loss distance.
- Review exit settings. Check the initial stop loss, optional take profit, break-even and trailing-stop controls. If you use virtual trailing, keep the terminal running and connected so it can manage that function.
- Check trading hours and spreads. Sea Gold includes an average-spread filter and individual trading sessions. Align the session settings with broker server time before judging when entries should appear.
- Understand the dashboard controls. Pausing entries requests cancellation of pending orders. It does not close existing positions. Check the Trade tab after using this control.
How to evaluate the EA in MT5
First, test Sea Gold EA with the same symbol specifications and account conditions you expect to use. Where available, select real-tick data in the MT5 Strategy Tester. Include realistic spreads, commission and swap costs when reviewing the result.
Next, compare more than net profit. Examine equity drawdown, the number of trades, losing streaks and the margin used when multiple orders execute. A profitable report can still contain losses that exceed your tolerance.
Then test a separate period that you did not use to choose settings. This helps reveal whether the configuration depends too heavily on one set of historical conditions. Follow it with a demo forward test and compare actual execution with your expectations.
Our XAUUSD EA backtesting guide covers the workflow. You can also consult the official MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester documentation for platform-specific details. Historical results do not guarantee future performance.
Frequently asked questions
Which timeframe should I use?
The product documentation specifies M15 price data. Start on an M15 gold chart and confirm the remaining settings against the current product instructions.
Does percentage-risk sizing cap total account risk?
No. The documented percentage applies per order. Since pending orders in both directions may execute, total exposure can be higher than the risk shown for one order.
Where can I buy and activate Sea Gold?
Purchase and activation take place through the official Sea Gold MQL5 Market listing and MetaTrader 5. Check that listing for current availability, price, licensing and version information.
